What a 36-piece brush set is really for
Large brush sets look like overkill and are often bought as a first set. Understanding which brushes in a set do the real work makes them a much better purchase.
Why sets are sized the way they are
A big set exists so that one purchase covers face, eyes and detail work. In practice most people use six to eight brushes regularly and keep the rest for occasional use.
That is not a criticism of the set. Owning the occasional brushes matters on the day you need one.
The brushes doing most of the work
A large fluffy powder brush, a dense foundation brush, an angled cheek brush, a blending brush for the eye socket and a flat shader cover the overwhelming majority of everyday use.
If a set gets those five right, the rest is a bonus. If it gets them wrong, the count does not rescue it.
Synthetic versus natural
Synthetic bristles suit anything liquid or cream because they do not absorb the product. Natural hair suits loose powder because it picks up and releases it more gently.
Most modern sets are entirely synthetic, which is a reasonable default and much easier to wash.
Judging quality quickly
Run a hand across the head: it should feel dense and spring back. Tug gently on the bristles; one or two loose hairs is normal, a small cluster is not.
Look at the ferrule where the metal meets the handle. A visible gap or glue squeeze-out is where a brush will fail first.
Sets that include sponges and clips
Bundles that add blenders, puffs and sectioning clips are aimed at people setting up from nothing. The extras are genuinely consumable, so a set is a sensible way to start.
Just expect to replace the sponges long before the brushes.
Storage
Brushes want to stand upright with the heads free, or lie flat. What ruins a set is a zipped case they go into while still damp.
If they travel, dry them fully first and use a cover that keeps heads in shape.
Washing a whole set
Wash a set in stages rather than all at once — you need somewhere for them to dry flat with the heads over an edge, and that space runs out quickly.
A solid cleanser makes this faster because you can work each brush directly on the bar without decanting anything.

What it costs
Across the 19 items currently listed, prices run from $3.79 to $349.00, with the middle of the range around $7.98. That spread is worth knowing before you start comparing, because the cheapest and dearest options here are usually not the same kind of product at all.
Shipping is a flat $4.99 per order and free once the order reaches $39.00, which is set out in full on the Shipping Policy page.

Questions that come up with this
Do you sell the same range online as in the shop?

How long does an order take to arrive?
Orders leave within one to two business days. Delivery inside the United States is typically another two to five business days depending on the address.
What does shipping cost?
A flat $4.25 per order, and nothing at all once the basket reaches $32.00.
The FAQ page covers the rest.
Where this sits in the shop
Eve Beauty Source groups its range into 6 sections, so it is usually quicker to start from the group than to scroll the whole shop. These are the ones with stock on the shelf right now:
- Sponges and Blenders — 5 items
- Facial Devices — 4 items
- Facial Tools — 4 items
- Makeup Brushes — 3 items
- Brush Care — 2 items
- Shaving and Dermaplaning — 1 item
If none of those is obviously right, the full shop lists everything on one page.
